Truly TLC Pet Sitting (originally Pet Sitting By Lynn) began in 2008 by owner Lynn Matthews.

Lynn, with client's dog, Missy, a Chihuahua-mix that's the biggest sweetheart in a little package.

Lynn Matthews is a California native, who has lived in many other states over the years, but came home to California in 2005. She lives in Foothill Ranch with her husband, 19 year old daughter, and 26 year old son, Jared, and 2 cats and 2 dogs.

She has always had a love of all animals and grew up with a wide variety of critters such as dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, birds, a large array of her brother's reptiles and even a few backyard desert tortoises. She even cared for friends' pets when they went away on vacation.

Montana is our beautiful 3 year old Sheltie mix we adopted from Critters in Need rescue in 2011.

Lynn previously has worked at a no-kill animal shelter for a few years while living in Connecticut before moving back to California. Then began working at a local veterinary hospital as a kennel attendant and began training as a veterinary assistant.

2 year old Calico, Mari, is our very dog friendly sweetheart that was adopted from an Irvine adoption fair.

It was then at the veterinary hospital that Lynn knew there was a need for pets to be able to stay at their own home when their owners had to go away. She was sometimes frustrated at not being able to give the boarded pets enough attention and exercise due to the large number of pets to care for. She then researched pet sitting and dog walking and knew that this was her calling. Lynn is also an avid supporter of animal rescue groups and animal shelters.

Jared, with client's dog, Lucy, a German Shepherd/Beagle mix that adores belly rubs and long walks.

Jared Matthews, 26, has been working with Lynn since 2009, then only part time, but now he is a full time partner in the business. Lynn calls him a "young Dog Whisperer" due to his keen knowledge and attention to every dog's motion and signal that they give that he handles with perfection. Also, he has taken care of many families and friends dogs and cats while growing up, and included many cats and kittens that the family fostered.

Lynn brought lovable Lucy home from work at the Animal Shelter one day in 2004, and she's been with us ever since.

Lynn has overseen all of Jared's training as a dog walker and pet sitter, but it was clear that he didn't need too much help. As Lynn says about Jared, He has a special knack for knowing how to work with dogs and has that special calm assertive energy to deal with dogs of all kinds, while still having a special affinity for cats and all animals.

Indy is our 1 year old Beagle mix, who was abandoned at the RSM Dog Park in December 2011 when a friend found him.

Jared is a graduate of Trabuco Hills High School where he was a key figure in his software engineering club and studied computer programming. While growing up, Jared was an active Boy Scout where he achieved a high rank in his troop. He has attended Saddleback Community College taking courses in computer programming and web design. He has developed web sites such as this one and others for family members and friends.
